Alek Green (he/him) is an interdisciplinary sound artist and educator originally from the lək̓ʷəŋən/ Songhees territories, currently based in Tiohtià:ke. He recently received his MFA from Columbia University, and received his BFA from NSCAD in 2023.
His work takes shape based around objects, workshops, movement, and body language, but always seems to settle down into something that is playful, collaborative, and communal. His work, performances and workshops have been supported by or shown at the Wallach Gallery, Banff Centre for the Arts, the Khyber Centre for the Arts, Centre for Art Tapes, EYELEVEL, Art Cake NYC, TheBLANC, the Wallach, TRAMPS, Rencontres Internationales, Soundial, and more.
